Tuesday saw the judging of the House Team 1916 art competition. As always the boys excelled themselves. After lunch Mr.Molloy gave a quick overview of the happenings of Easter Week and the students viewed an 8 minute cartoon about the history of the Rising.

On Friday the boys were shown various clips from films and documentaries about the Rising. These were very well received. It was interesting to see the Pathé footage of Dublin in the aftermath of Easter Week.
Monday saw a closely fought house team orator's competition take place. A selection of very well made speeches were given both by boys who knew they were selected and also by those chosen by random selection!!

We have had the most wonderful 1916 Week in the School leading up to the arrival of the Defence Forces on Wednesday 3rd February.
We started the week off on Thursday when each class presented  a poem , facts, drama or a song about the Rising. A great start to the week.

In SESE we are learning about visiting the doctors, so the boys decided to make a doctor's surgery. All patients welcome.

The House Team quiz took place on the last morning of term. there was great excitement and it was a close fought contest but the winners were  Mounttown. Well done boys.

As usual our annual Christmas Songs and Carols were performed with great enthusiasm and gusto to a very appreciative audience. As always tea, coffee and mince pies were provided by the parents committee.

The boys of First Class and Senior Infants plant up their spring daffodils and winter vegetables. This year they are planting in containers.
