The month of May has been an exciting month for us all in Junior Infants.
As the weather is getting warmer, we have been doing a lot of outdoor learning. Together with senior infants we got out our clipboards and checklists and went on a nature walk through the forest and around the campus looking for the signs of summer. It was really exciting as we found lots of signs that summer is on it way. We found butterflies, bees, birds, flowers and ladybirds. π¦π»π¦

We did a mini project on water and we measured puddles using cubes. Using the puddle we did a floating and sinking experiment seeing if daisies float or if pebbles sink. Last week we made wellies for our teddy bears, now our teddies can come splashing in the puddles with us π
Another fun outdoor activity was practicing matching capital letters with lowercase letters
The whole school walked down to St Patrick's church in Monkstown for the morning mass. βͺThe Junior Infants really liked the beautiful stained glass windows.
Riain was this months birthday boy and turned 6 years old on May Day ππ.
Yesterday was really exciting as Joe the magician came to our school and did a magic showπ© for the whole school. Elan helped Joe make a table float in the air.
Till next time.....
