We had lots of excitement in class leading up to Christmas. First off, we had our own Late Late toy show. Each of the children brought in a toy of their choosing and were asked to explain all about it and why they liked it.
Senior infants created lots of lovely Christmas art. Our room was filled with it! We particularly enjoyed doing “draw along” Christmas art. There are lots of budding artists in the class!
During Aistear this month, we looked at the post office and also Santa’s workshop! All of the students wrote their letters to Santa and we went to the post box to post them. The elves were busy designing, making and wrapping presents in our role play area.
During December, the children worked hard to get a reward of a hot chocolate party. We watched a Christmas movie and had some yummy hot chocolate and marshmallows. The Christmas concert was another highlight of the month, and the children were amazing at singing Rudolph the red nose Reindeer and Santa Claus is coming to Town.
Santa came to visit Senior Infants! The children were super excited to see him. Finally we participated in the Goal Mile while wearing our lovely Christmas jumpers!
