Grandparents day and Lots of Talent
3rd and 4th Class News

For our talent spot, the class decided to perform their version of their interpretation of the Kumate Haka performed by the New Zealand All Blacks. The class greatly enjoyed learning about the Maori and their culture and were particularly taken by the ancient war dance, for obvious reasons. The struck fear into their school mates with their dance moves and facial expressions and even mixed in cúpla focal as Gaeilge.

We then had grandparents day. This is a really exciting day for our students where they get to share their earning with their grandparents. The class performed a poem by Kier Silverstein called 'Late' and sang and danced to 'All You Need is Love' by The Beatles. This was warmly received by their grandparents who then joined us in the classroom for some clay modelling.

We also had the semi-finals of MPJS Got Talent in which some of our very own 3rd and 4th class competed. Ciaran and Anthony both performed beautiful pieces to an attentive school hall. The practice the two put in was evident as the performances by all students involved were met with warm applause and admiration. Roll on the final!
