3rd and 4th Class News

Return From Mid-term
3rd and 4th Class News

The class came back from their break with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. We heard great stories of how different households and neighbourhoods celebrates Halloween in creative new ways. Both classes wrote out their highlights of their beak and shared it with the class. This was cause from much hilarity.

We also started back rugby this week. I am delighted to be coaching 3rd and 4th class. We have some pupils who are new to the sport but have shown great promise. Rugby is an important sport in Monkstown as it is great for fostering friendships and bolsters confidence. I am delighted that we have a full compliment from both classes playing this year.

As part of our Green Schools Flag 'Biodiversity,' we embarked on mapping the different habitats here in Monkstown Park. We are blessed to have such beautiful grounds full of native and non-native trees, as well as an array of other wildlife that lives within the walls of the school grounds. It is always great to get outside with the class, fill our lungs with fresh air and appreciate our surroundings.
