Halloween Is Almost Here For The First Class Boys

Happy Halloween From First Class
Halloween Is Almost Here For The First Class Boys

It’s almost Halloween and the boys in First Class have had another busy fortnight at school. Our two lovely new boys, Rohan and Sanjiv joined their house teams. Mr Flood paid a visit to the classroom and presented them each with a house team badge.

During our history lesson, we have been learning all about Halloween traditions. We also have been looking into what school was like in the past. One morning recently, the boys had a very interesting FaceTime interview with Bodie’s grandparents, Cindy and Henry. The boys got an opportunity to ask them lots of questions about what school was like for them long ago.

This fortnight, First Class have been busy learning about numbers 17 and 18 in Maths lesson,

Oíche Shamhna in Irish, capital letters and consonant blends in English and lots and lots of reading.

At home the boys have been busy in the kitchen, baking their spooky cakes for the Halloween raffle.

In order to enter they had to send on a photo of their cake to Ms Farrell using google classroom. She almost jumped out of her skin at some of the scary cake creations photos she received!

In preparation for Halloween, First Class has produced some lovely seasonal drawings. Haunted houses. bats, pumpkin drawings to name but a few. All of these fantastic pictures will be sent home with the boys at mid- term so that they can be hung up over the Halloween break.
