News from the Online Classroom

Lockdown 2.0 is upon us and busy classrooms are a distant memory. Instead we are behind our devices once more as we try to navigate the new set of restrictions. The online classroom has been a lively place filled with art work, project work and plenty of debate. It has been a great outlet for the boys to see their friends and engage in stimulating class work. We have had projects on place names and their ancient origins, ancient homes and games, animals and art projects using laundry items.

When both classes were finishing Vikings and Normans for SESE we went on a virtual tour of Dublinia which was a big hit. We learnt of the Viking roots in Dublin and they turned it into a Hibernian Metropolis at the time up until the Norman Conquests of Ireland. The class remained focused throughout and had some excellent questions at the end.

As we move toward mid-term, the class are not losing momentum, but they have told me they are looking forward to the break!
