Old MacDonald had a farm

Old MacDonald had a farm

Senior Infants have been learning a lot about farms and farm animals this month. We have been practising milking cows, shearing sheep and collecting eggs. We have created lots of farm art too!

We have been learning a lot about biodiversity and the students in Senior Infants all made biodiversity projects. Matteo made a birdhouse and even made a scrapbook all about the process of making it! Thanks to all Mrs Heppenstall and the students work, we were awarded our biodiversity flag.

Thankfully, we have been able to start swimming lessons again. Senior Infants have really been enjoy the lessons.

We celebrated World book Day with lots of interesting books and costumes. The children brought in their favourite books and explained why they liked them. We have even started writing our own class story about a haunted house, spooky!

During March we also celebrated Lá Glas, Seachtain na Gaeilge and Engineering week. Senior Infants and Junior Infants paired up and made sail cars that would be able to move by being powered by air.
