It is hard to believe that we are already in March. After a very welcome midterm break we all settled back into class. Over the midterm Ms Heppenstall asked all the pupils to make projects on Bio Diversity. On Tuesday we got assessed and we are very proud to announce that the school as been awarded the Bio Diversity flag. Ms Heppenstall and some of the students from the school have been very busy preparing for the assessment. Our own Liam walked around the school with the assessor and showed all the projects. He then spoke about it at assembly.
Yes we have had our very first assembly in 2 whole years. It was so lovely seeing the whole school together again. Senan spoke at assembly too. Olly had a great idea to support the Ukraine. We came up with the idea to have a yellow and blue day next week and to bring in donations. We also have been making wristbands to hand out.
We have finally finished up our JEP project. All the money got counted and divided up. Each pupil made a whopping 47 Euro!! They have decided to put 100 Euro towards the Irish cancer society.
In Maths this week we have been measuring the area and the circumference of circles. We learned the number"pi" and have been busy applying it to the formulas. We measured various round objects with wool to see, when divided does it make 3.14. And yes, many were very close to it.
