Mr Fayne told us that we had been asked by RTE to dance with the up and coming singer Sophie Doyle Ryder. We practiced in our classroom for a few days but on the Friday the star made an appearance. Thankfully the weather was amazing so that we could show off or grounds and use the pitch to dance. Some of the students were asked what they thought “Friendship” means to them. We even managed to get on News2day that evening. Great fun had by all.
Gaeilge24 took place on Tuesday 15th November. First thing we did a HIIT session as Gaeilge. It was a great way to get warmed up. We tried to use as much Irish as possible, even if it was half English – half Gaeilge.
After lunch we got together with T-REX from the senior school. Jim Finnegan, CBC’s Irish teacher, really enjoyed coming over to dance and sing with us. All of us at MPJS love having the craic leis an dineasáir. Then we played “Goid an bagún” with the whole school.
This week was Science Week. All week the students worked on their own experiments and presented them excellently well to their peers. Enjoy some of the projects that were presented in our class.
