February was an absolutely fantastic month in our third-class classroom! Our students got into the spirit of World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite characters - we had a fabulous array of costumes, including the likes of Gangster Granny, Willy Wonka, Harry Potter, and even an invented character named Goat Man, which was created for our recent write-a-book competition.
Speaking of which, a big congratulations goes out to Bodie Mangan Gisler, who took home the top prize in the competition. However, we were blown away by the incredible talent on display from our students, including runners-up Matthew Kang, Conrad Burns, Mason Kirwan and Alexander McHugh. It was a tough decision for the judges, as all of the books were beautifully written and illustrated, with captivating stories that kept us on the edge of our seats.
In addition to all of the book-related excitement, we also spent an entire week exploring the world of money, using real money to create, count, divide and total various amounts. It was a great opportunity for our students to get hands-on experience with this important life skill.
And let's not forget about the pancake races! Our students had an absolute blast running against each other while simultaneously attempting to flip over pancakes. It was a hilarious and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Overall, it was an amazing month filled with learning, creativity and fun. I can't wait to see what the rest of the school year holds for our talented and enthusiastic third-class students!
