Library

The pupils avail of a very comprehensive library which is run by our dedicated Parents' Committee. Pupils in Monkstown Park get to attend the Library once a week to choose their books to read for the week and return it the following week to our Library committee.

The pupils also regularly visit the school library during their class times and choose books that help with particular topics or projects they may be working on.

Monkstown Park recently took part in a Scholastic book fair and a percentage of the profits from this was donated back to the school. This meant we were able to purchase lots of brand new books for our lucky pupils.

We always celebrate World Book day in Monkstown Park where we invite the children to dress up as their favourite characters from their much loved book.

The Library Committee also organises trips for the pupils to meet authors locally during World Book Week. The pupils enjoy events like this as hearing an author speaking about their book really brings it to life for them.
