There is a very active tradition of music in Monkstown Park. Our Music teacher, Martin, provides whole school music lessons for Junior Infants – 6th Class on a weekly basis. This has really ignited the music in the school. The sound of drums, guitars, ukulele and piano, to name but a few, can be heard floating from the music room at various stages during the day. There is a music showcase at the end of the school year when pupils perform in front of an audience and show the whole school community their fantastic musical talents. Pupils also have the opportunity to perform at our weekly assembly to earn House Team points for their team. In Monkstown Park, we feel it's important that every pupil has the opportunity to succeed in the area they are most interested in.
We also offer private music lessons to pupils in the school. Martin, our music teacher and Heather, our piano teacher offer lessons that are available for pupils who wish to learn guitar, drums, ukulele, piano and much more.
